Christmas Tree…. Oh Christmas Tree…….

When I was growing up, my "Other Mother" would have two trees.  The "girls' " tree and the "Official Tree".  Her tree always looked so beautiful.  I would stare at it in awe.  As my best friend and her sisters got older, as each one of them graduated high school or college, the tree that year was decorated in their school's colors and mascot.  I thought that was so sweet, having a Christmas Tree in your honor.  Well, when I had Noah, I wanted to share the same tradition.  So every year since, he started to develop specific new interests and I would use them as inspiration for our tree.

Last year we were on a Fresh Beat Band craze.  I recycled old ornaments and
purchased great stuff from Oriental Trading Company to Jazz up our tree.

Noah was very vocal with the theme this year.  He actually presented it as a challenge. Our 2013 Christmas Tree theme is the Power Rangers.  I practiced some Samurai letters on some Walmart bought glass ornaments, in Power Ranger colors of course, and Viola!- my baby has a Power Ranger tree.  Hopefully, one day, he won't think his mama is a dweeb for doing this for him.
