MercyMe - The Hurt & The Healer (Official Lyric Video)

Yesterday I was listening to a Christian radio talk show in which they were discussing the need to be able to answer the tough questions presented to us by atheist or anyone that asks about our faith.  To be honest, I feel I lack the knowledge or expertise to be able to defend my faith, convert the multitude, and preach memorized Bible verses.  This saddens me because I want to shout and proclaim what accepting Christ has done in my life. But my insecurity of not being well versed, sometimes keeps me from sharing.

Last night, however, while I was dong my study on stewardship I studied this verse:

"Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young.  Be an example to

all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith,

and your purity.  Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the 

Church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them."

-1 Timothy 4:12-13

And this morning while I was dwelling in self pity over my week and thinking of all the things I need to do, I need to control, I need to fix, my IPhone skips to this song (my Sync in my car has been acting up coincidence?) This changed my perspective, focused in on my paradigm: Christ.  

My evidence for Christ, my life experiences.  The many moments God has intervened, has directly spoken to me through a person, a song, a Bible verse.  I feel Christ in my life.  He is always there.  I'm the one who sometimes is not.  My human nature aches for reason and control, Christ just wants us to bring everything to Him.  To trust Him and His plan.  To allow the Hurt and the Healer to collide.
